Berkeley Park District is required to disclose public records under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) in accordance with the Illinois Open Meetings Act. Some records are exempt from Act and requests to view them can therefore be denied.
The appointed FOIA Officer for Berkeley Park District is the Park Director, Peter Graham. The Officer's responsibilities include receiving FOIA requests and responding to them within FOIA guidelines. The FOIA Officer can be reached at the address below or by phoning (708) 544-1935.

The FOIA officer has 5 business days to respond to the written request from the day the request is received. The 5 days starts after the request is received by the Park District and excludes Saturdays, Sundays, and state holidays. The time period may be extended by the Park District for a further 5 days. If this is the case, the Park District must notify the requester within 5 days of receiving the request.
