ILLINOIS STATE PRAIRIE PATH

Berkeley Park is currently the site of two children's playgrounds, volleyball courts, a baseball field, and our dedicated Memorial Corner. However, this sprawling land was once the site of the Chicago Aurora & Elgin electric railroad. In the 1960s the rail was converted to a biking and walking trail.
